Energy

For those who believe that there is an energy crisis, I have these numbers to refer to proving that we have in fact no energy crisis, but a set of mind crisis;

Fully exploited wave, tidal, osmotic, ocean current and ocean thermal power together could give supply 80% of our current energy needs.[1] If we filled 4.1% of our desert areas our entire civilization could be nourished by solar power alone.[2] Wind power, if used fully, could supply 10 times our current energy needs[3] and soon geo-thermal power could supply 3600 times our needs.[4]

Apart from this we are making progress with fusion and may even seen industrial production of fusion reactors around the year 2040.[5]

The use of fossil fuels and the production of vehicles propelled by them should at utmost pace be abolished, unless there are compelling safety reasons and/or performance that must be achieved for scientific purposes. Fission power can be used until gaps are filled by renewable alternatives. Coal power should be decommissioned at once.
