Armed Combat

During the time that the new united global civilization is developing there will be the threat of war. We cannot allow ourselves to make the mistake of believing that just because we convey a message of peace, everybody else will. There are groups of people with cultures that encourage war and massacre of those of other cultures. Because of this armed forces are a necessary evil. Some parts of the Earth may therefore as a last resort have to be liberated by use of warfare. War must however, never be an end in itself. It must be used proportionately, discriminately and if possible backed up by ideological information to convert foe into friend. The use of non-lethal weaponry is also encouraged in situations where it can safely be done.

Later when the world is united, armed forces must remain at a level so that they can counter any, however unlikely, threats from terrorism and the rising threat of artificial intelligence in the hands of evildoers.
